Charlie's Angels Reboot Will Have More Than Three Angels
A reboot of Charlie's Angels could break tradition and expand the core of the elite unit. This was announced by Kristen Stewart, who, together with Naomi Scott, Ella Balinskaya and Elizabeth Banks, will play in the upcoming film. Banks will also stage the tape and write a script for it.In an interview with ComicBook, Stewart admitted that a whole network of angels will appear in the upcoming reboot. This means that viewers will see more than three main characters. Kristen clarified: “Angels are interconnected women from all over the world who help each other. The actress also said that the new film will be more modern and feminist-oriented than previous films in the franchise. The picture will also become much more serious, as the focus will be primarily on the combat skills of the girls, rather than their sexuality. “Movies from the 2000s were kitsch. Of course, they were super fun, but today, if we show a woman in battle, then everything should be within her capabilities, ”commented Stewart. She also said that the new film will be kind and funny and show how women can work as a team.  Stewart's comments may cause concern for some fans of the franchise. For many, Charlie's Angels without kitsch is like an ocean without water. The original tapes became successful mainly because the angels were sexually exploited and remained action heroines even in those moments when the film did not play its concept ironically. Many believe that the 2011 series failed to gain popularity among Angels fans precisely because it took the idea too seriously. Fortunately, the reboot director is unlikely to ditch the comedy altogether.
