The Long Road of Indiana Jones
It seemed that the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones adventure franchise would be Steven Spielberg's next directorial work. The filmmaker himself said in his interviews that he was going to start filming next spring, but it looks like the famous archaeologist will be delayed on the way.As the Variety portal managed to find out, the next sequel is unlikely to be ready by the scheduled release date. The source was told about this by insiders, who claim that the shooting of the blockbuster will have to be postponed for months, or even a whole year. The reason for this is the dissatisfaction of Spielberg and all those involved in the project with the script. Prior to that, David Kepp was involved in it, who wrote the text for "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and collaborated with Spielberg for many years. Now Lucasfilm has offered the post of screenwriter to John Kasdan, who worked on Han Solo's solo album. It is not yet clear whether Kasdan will start from scratch, rewrite Kepp's text in his possession, or make individual edits to it. In any case, Harrison Ford will have to postpone returning to the Indiana Jones image.  The Indiana Jones franchise grossed nearly $ 2 billion worldwide at the box office, and after poor reviews for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Spielberg wanted to end the adventurer's story on a high note. In the fifth part, Ford's hero was supposed to get a successor or even a successor, but whether this plan will remain in force with a new screenwriter is still unknown.
