Review of the movie High Security Vacation. Not at all gentlemen
Two convicts, the former cop Koltsov (Dyuzhev) and the thieves 'authority Sumarokov (Bezrukov), escape from prison, taking the thieves' common fund, and hide in the pioneer camp under the guise of counselors. Circumstances force them to stay there, and gradually hardened convicts are imbued with caring for children. High Security Vacation, campaigned with great fanfare and pomp, turned out to be an indistinct work of Gentlemen of Fortune. with neither to the village nor to the city woven by Japanese studies. Plot "Vacation .." promised a lot of cool jokes and interesting situations. In USA, where the summer vacation spot for children and the colony for criminals is called the common word `` camp '', the concept of the movie should have been born long ago, in which characters from one camp end up in another camp. "High Security Vacation" took this idea as a plot, but, unfortunately, could not fully implement it. The movie is not funny. Throughout the screen throughout the "Vacation .." only a few jokes are heard and ridiculous funny situations arise that cause not laughter, but only a slight smile. Realizing, apparently, this weakness of hers, the so-called comedy tried to go on the soulfulness and female sensitivity to the harsh men raising children. A similar trick was once done by Gentlemen of Fortune. - only there the convicts themselves were appointed by the children being raised, to whom the head of the kindergarten was assigned. However, the authors of Gentlemen of Fortune understood that one absurd situation is not enough for a spiritually ironic comedy. Despite the similar themes and the fact that the creators of "Vacation .."; obviously meant `` Gentlemen of Fortune '' in some scenes, the new USA comedy has nothing in common with the genius Soviet comedy hit. "High Security Vacation" made tougher, more vital, on the border between funny and dramatic, and this uncertainty of the movie itself - comedy he or drama – sprays all his efforts and discoveries, leaving the audience bewildered: "What was that?". Only the cast team pleases in the movie , which sometimes manages to breathe life and spark into even the most unviable scenes in Vacation .. Sergei Bezrukov outplayed everyone, who managed to organically combine in his hero, who has been sitting in the zone since the age of sixteen, the rigidity of `` authority '' and a leader with a touching vulnerability to life outside the prison walls. Bezrukov in the movie has several romantic scenes with Alena Babenko, who played the pioneer leader of another detachment, which his hero fell for. Despite the fact that the love line in "Vacation .." stupid and unfinished, Bezrukov saves this whole line alone with his play. Dmitry Dyuzhev in the so-called comedy appears in his usual role of his in-board – looks great but does not cause any emotions. In their duet with Bezrukov, there is also nothing special – well, there was a TV show called Brigade that managed to capture the spirit of true friendship on movie: High Security Vacation not that level at all, and any other actor could play a forced friendship with Bezrukov in them. Secondary roles in "Vacation" .. " there was a whole troupe of brilliant actors: from the titan Vladimir Menshov – to the boring compote Alexei Kravchenko, who plays the same "kind, strong fellow" everywhere. Japanese style, which the creators of " Vacation .. " promised to explain in the movie, was dragged into the action literally by the ears – as in the joke about the corporal's logic: “Do you see a house with a red roof and a house with a green roof? That's how people are: born, die … ". Neither Japanese, nor any other philosophy and just reflections on life in the dialogues of the movie characters are not noticed: the message of "High Security Vacation"; - about the fact that children help to see the true values - correct, but too straightforward and one-sided, which makes it sound feigned and false. "High security vacations"; pretended to be sincere and kind irony, but failed both of these tasks. Advertising took too much energy – from the pink smoke of PR hype, an average situational comedy came out without good jokes, the beautiful, thoughtful credits of which cause one bewilderment.
