Monsters on Vacation Movie will form the basis of the series
The five-star hotel for monsters "Transylvania" is moving to television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures has hired Canadian animated content company Nelvana to create an animated television series based on the 2012 animated feature Monsters on Vacation. The TV adaptation will tell about the days when Dracula's daughter, Mavis, was a teenager and about her friends. The series is slated to premiere in early 2017.
