It's always sunny in the gaming industry

Image In 2004, young actors and screenwriters Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day filmed the $ 200 pilot for the comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which delighted the executives of FX. Today, the series about hilarious Irish pub owners, Paddy's, is considered one of the finest sitcoms of our time and is preparing to air its 13th season. Not surprisingly, the creators of "Philadelphia" have become highly sought after on American TV. As Variety found out, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day are preparing a new comedy television project for Apple.

The Apple Company announced its desire to start producing its own series last summer. Since then, Apple's management has launched many promising TV projects - from the reboot of the famous anthology "Amazing Stories" to the film adaptation of Isaac Asimov's fundamental work "Foundation". To compete with streaming giants Netflix and Amazon, the American corporation will also need its own sitcoms.

Apple owners commissioned McElhenney and Day to write a script for a comedy series about the everyday life of a video game company. The Philadelphia writers' text made such an impression on the company bosses that they decided to do without filming the pilot episode and ordered the production of the full first season. McElhenney will play one of the main roles in the series, and Day will confine himself to the functions of a writer and producer. The film studio Lionsgate and the well-known gaming company Ubisoft will participate in the creation of the so far unnamed sitcom.
