Ari Aster's debut full-length work, the horror film Reincarnation, won several dozen professional awards and received flattering reviews from critics who called it atmospheric and original, and therefore the film community was eagerly awaiting Aster's next project. "Solstice" is the complete opposite of "Reincarnation", filmed in dark colors, and you can guess from the title that evil is born under the sun in Aster's new film.There was a discord in the relationship between Denis and Christian, but a family tragedy brings the couple closer together, and they together with friends go to a Swedish village, where an unusual summer festival and carefree relaxation await them against the backdrop of nature bathed in the rays of the sun. However, evil does not sleep: lovely residents invite guests to take part in the festive ceremony, and soon the village paradise turns into a living hell for the main characters ... Horror-savvy Jordan Peele has already praised Asta's new work, noting its uniqueness. Florence Pugh and Jack Raynor starred in Solstice, and William Jackson Harper, Archie Madekwe, Ellora Torchia and Will Poulter joined them at the unusual festival.
