Now Rick is ready to breathe new life into the adaptation of another comic book.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Famuyiva will be adapting the iconic graphic novel "Black Hole", written and illustrated by Charles Burns. A film based on the comic book series has been in development for quite some time. Back in 2005, Alexander Azha became interested in him ("The Hills Have Eyes"), and Neil Gaiman and Roger Avery ("Pulp Fiction") later worked on the script. Another contender for the director's chair was David Fincher ("Fight Club"), but he also chose to leave the helmship in 2010. Subsequently, news appeared in the press every now and then that Fincher still wanted to film "Black Hole", but the project remained gathering dust on the shelf.

"Black Hole" touches upon the themes of adolescents' awareness of their sexuality and social prejudices, and therefore it is not surprising that the adaptation of the comic book attracted the attention of directors who had previously filmed dark films. And although Rick Famuyiva has no experience in the genre of horror or fiction, his drama "Drug" is just an unbroken look at the problems of growing up.
