Marion Cotillard will replace Rooney Mara in Annette
In 2017, news spread around the film world that Leos Carax was going to direct the musical drama "Annette" starring Rooney Mara and Adam Driver. However, after this news, insiders fell silent for two long years, and only now new information regarding this project has appeared on the Web. Singer Rihanna dropped out of the project, and French actress Marion Cotillard will play the main female role instead of the star of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The titular male character is still assigned to Adam Driver, due to his amusement in the Star Wars space saga, shooting may have been postponed.Based on a screenplay by Sparks members Ron and Russell Mail, the film follows the life of a stand-up comedian who experiences the untimely death of his wife, a former opera singer. One day the protagonist discovers an extraordinary talent in his two-year-old daughter. After that, their lives change forever.  Previously, Michelle Williams refused to work on the female role.
