”Morbius” will be the next film comic by Sony
Sony's latest graphic novel-based project is Venom, which kicks off at our box office this week. According to ComicBook, the studio's next film comic strip will be Morbius, which will begin filming shortly. The film's producers Matthew Tolmak (Black Panther) and Avi Arad (Spider-Man: Homecoming) are already completing the initial stages of the film's development.Morbius was first announced earlier this year when Jared Leto was cast as the titular character. Tolmak and Arad said they were thrilled to work with the acclaimed actor, and hinted that the Oscar winner would use techniques that allowed him to portray the Joker in Suicide Squad. Tolmak noted that Leto will bring "a similar level of intensity, charisma and character commitmentto the project." In addition, the producers said that Leto himself is delighted with the upcoming role and already adores his hero. While the vampire is not one of the most famous characters in Marvel comics, the presence of a star actor in the project can really provide Morbius with a good box office. According to rumors, in a future film we will see Morbius' fiancee Martina Bancroft, as well as his best friend Emil Nikos, who will become the antagonist.
