Vin Diesel announced the release date of the new movie about Riddick
The Chronicles of Riddick: In the Footsteps of a Dead Man will be released, most likely in January 2013. The lead actor and producer of the Vin Diesel project announced this on his Facebook page. "The studio claims that the earliest deadline is January. Frankly, I was hoping for 2012. But, anyway, it will be soon," he wrote. Diesel also claims that the studio management liked the work material and are interested in producing sequels. "Of course, it's too early to talk about it, but the fact itself makes me happy," the actor added. In the story, Riddick finds himself on a seemingly lifeless planet. But he soon discovers that it is inhabited by dangerous creatures, far more deadly than any of the enemies he has encountered before. The only way to escape is to activate the beacon and attract the attention of the bounty hunters to use one of their ships. Riddick will meet with several groups of mercenaries, for some of whom his capture is just a business, for others - personal vendetta.
