Superman will have a new biological mother
Julia Ormond turned down the role of Superman's biological mother in Zach Snyder's Man of Steel. This is reported by the Deadline resource. Instead of her, Lara Kal-El will be played by actress Ayelet Zurer, whom viewers probably remember from the movie Angels and Demons, in which her heroine helped Robert Langdon uncover a conspiracy in the Vatican. The reason Ormond dropped out of the project is not specified. Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, and Henry Cavill will also play in the movie.
