Mobile ticket service launched in the USA
The American company Fandango, which provides its customers with the opportunity to purchase cinema tickets via the Internet or by phone, together with the largest US cinema chain Regal Entertainment Group, is launching a new service called Mobile Ticket. This is reported in the official press release. The essence of the project is as follows. From now on, customers purchasing tickets using Fandango will receive on their mobile phones an image of a unique bar code containing all the necessary information about the session and seats in the hall. In the cinema, by opening the image and swiping it through a special scanner , the viewer will gain access to the hall, thus avoiding queues at the box office. Representatives of Fandango say that the technical characteristics of the mobile communication device are irrelevant. Any phone or smartphone with a screen that allows you to view images will work.
