Robert Zemeckis tasked with bringing Animated American to life
Despite the failure of recent animation projects by Robert Zemeckis, Walt Disney will continue to work with him. According to Variety, Zemeckis, along with Bob Cooper, will become the producers of a feature-length movie with animation elements called Animated American. The plot of the picture will be based on a couple who are raising a drawn adopted son. On his 18th birthday, the main characters go in search of the real parents of their animated heir. Recall that Zemeckis already has experience with such combined projects. In 1988, he released a movie called Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which combined the "living" and drawn characters.
