Review of the cartoon Rio. High flying bluebird (Topic)

To date, the creators of animated cartoons have just not humanized someone in their creations: from bears and dinosaurs to lizards and squirrels. Even robots and monsters have not been forgotten. The creators of the cartoon " Rio " decided to humanize parrots and thereby join the ranks of such cartoon projects as Legends of the Night Guards, Valiant: Feathered Special Forces and Chicken Coop Escape, which also featured feathered creatures. The writers of Rio they focus on the romance and touching of what is happening, rather than on humor, so hardly anyone will break their belly with laughter, but at least a good mood is guaranteed to you.

Parrot Dear, grown in captive, without knowing it, turns out to be the last male of his species. The ornithologist worried about this problem asks the mistress of Blu to take her feathered friend to Rio, to the female Zhemchuzhinka, in order to save this species of parrots from complete extinction. Having decided to go to Rio, Blu and his mistress did not even know that they would have to face smugglers who are very interested in catching this type of parrots and are ready to do anything, just get their hands on both Blu and his future girlfriend Pearl .

Evaluate the plot in cartoons – the occupation is very strange, since most of these very plots are extremely simple and predictable, which, however, does not make them bad (after all, they were originally designed specifically for children). Therefore, the main aspect in assessing a story is not its plot twists or unexpected endings, but the emotionality of the story and the quality of humor. Fortunately, Rio has there is no problem with that. Incredibly cute bird faces, funny songs of characters and kind, completely devoid of vulgarity, turn a typical, in general, story about finding oneself into an extremely touching love story of two directly opposite characters.

The narrative in this cartoon is very light and dynamic, no sagging was noticed throughout the entire viewing. The only thing that can be reproached with local history is the main villains. They turned out to be somehow indistinct and not memorable. They do not create intrigue or any strong tension at all. In fact, if they were completely cut out of the cartoon – practically nothing would have changed.

And since we started talking about unfortunate characters, we cannot fail to mention the incredibly annoying birdwatcher. Not only did his antics and parodying of parrots turn out to be completely ridiculous, but he was also given an exorbitant amount of screen time, in the end, from his presence he naturally starts to stir up.

With the rest of the characters the situation is much better. Artistic Brazilian birds constantly giving advice, a married couple with a tough little wife at the head, stupid chickens painted blue, a slobbering bulldog Luis, even an ordinary bat with the phrase “You’re wrong! You took the wrong one! '' and she managed to engrave in memory.

From the point of view of the visual range, we must admit that there are not enough cartoon stars from the sky. Again, Blu and Zhemchuzhinka stand out sharply against the background of the rest of the characters, for they are much better worked out: their facial expressions, detailing of feathers – all this is at the highest level. But the people and the scenery turned out to be much less impressive. In the end, the author of these lines noticed one most unpleasant moment: almost half of all male characters look the same. It feels like the whole of Rio consists of only dark-skinned peasants with a beer belly, except that some have a beard, and some do not. This already smacks of hack, friends.

Musical numbers turned out to be very diverse, from rhythmic club music to light romantic, so that every viewer can find something to their liking. Unclear, however, for which domestic localizers translated only the first songs into USA, and left the last two in English. Then either everything would have been translated, or nothing, otherwise it somehow turned out a little crooked in the end. But this is rather a stone in the garden of our masters, rather than the creators of the cartoon themselves.

So, we have in front of us in general, a very good cartoon, with various characters, a touching story and pleasant songs. Start up to the `` masterpiece '' it does not hold out (after all, the absence of sane villains and the excessive presence of an ornithologist left their mark on the general impressions), however, in order to have a pleasant time and get a positive charge -; God himself commanded. Children will like it all the more. So – sincere recommendations.
