To remake a super successful spoken movie – a damn thankless job. It's like doing a remake of The Godfather - you can add a modern flavor to it and provide the video sequence with spectacular action, but the images so masterpiece played by the then actors simply cannot take root with the modern interpretation, it will be easier to just make another movie, with a similar theme. However, the moviemakers of Office Romance: Our Time it was more important to just use a well-known name than to make a quality movie. Anatoly Novoseltsev – timid and shy financial analyst, father of two. At the suggestion of his old friend Samokhvalov, Anatoly decides to hit on the director of the rating agency Lyudmila Kalugina. But over time, cold calculation turns into falling in love and they have an office romance. The plot of the remake copies all significant episodes of the original cleanly, except that the finale was slightly corrected (the same adaptation for modern realities), but the old characters received several, so to speak, unusual images. So, Novoseltsev's friend Samokhvalov outwardly looks like some kind of hippie with a silly behavior, and the secretary Vera has turned into … well-groomed metrosexual Vadik. But even with an almost complete copy of the old story, the creators somehow manage to completely screw up her feed. For some reason, the writers turned the line of Kalugina's change in appearance into a short retelling of the series `` Don't Be Born Beautiful '' and instead of displaying some kind of inner transformation of the heroine, she is simply glorified, with an emphasis solely on appearance, not on character. However, from the director of the extremely mediocre comedy `` DOOF: Episode One '' Sarik Andreasyan could hardly have expected anything sane. This time he again did not change his style, and in the main role we again come from KVN, with all the ensuing consequences. Vladimir Zelensky plays very unevenly, and repeating phrases from the original, he tries to stutter very strainedly. In general, frankly speaking, the creators missed the whole casting.
