MGM Film Company will resume work on Robocop
One of the priority projects of the MGM movie company, after the bankruptcy procedure was approved, again became a remake of Robocop. This is reported by the Variety edition with reference to anonymous informants in the studio. Recall that it was originally planned that the new version of the movie will be released in 2010, and its director will be Darren Aronofsky. But the project was frozen due to MGM's huge debts and shareholders' demands to restructure the company. At the end of 2010, the owners of the movie studio approved the bankruptcy plan, after which MGM was able to obtain a new loan of $ 500 million, which will be spent on high-priority projects. The original movie Robocop; was released in 1987 and is now considered a classic of science fiction cinema.
