The Filmmakers Guild announced the list of nominees (Topic)

The Directors Guild of America has announced a list of nominees for its annual award. According to an official press release, the following directors will be nominated for the award:

1. Darren Aronofsky (" Black Swan ")

2. David Fincher (" The Social Network ")

3. Tom Hooper (" The King's Speaking! ")

4. Christopher Nolan (" Inception ")

5. David O. Russell (Fighter)

Note that only six times in the history of the Directors Guild, its winners have not received an Academy Award in the corresponding category. The winner will be announced on January 29, 2011.
