Saturn Awards Winners Announced
The USA hosted the Saturn Awards, awarded by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was recognized as the best science fiction movie. Andy Serkis, who played it, won the Best Supporting Actor category. The project also received an award in the Best Special Effects category. JJ Abrams won the Super 8 Director's nomination. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows : Part 2 " awarded as Best Fantasy Project and Best Horror Film won The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The Best Action Movie of the Year was " Mission Impossible 4: Protocol Phantom. Shelter's Michael Shannon was named Best Actor, with Kirsten Dunst (Melancholy) winning in the same female category.
