Chris Evans will replace James Franco in the drama Ice Man, which will tell the story of the famous mafia hitman Richard Kuklinski. This is reported by the Deadline resource.

The actor got the role of a colleague and mentor of Kuklinski, Robert Prong, nicknamed Mister Softy. Prong taught his friend how to use cyanide as well as radio-controlled explosive devices. It was he who prompted Kuklinski to use mobile refrigerators to freeze the bodies of victims, so that it would be more difficult for the police to determine the time of death.

One day, Prong asked his friend to kill his wife and child. In 1984, he was shot dead in his own car.

As for Kuklinski himself, then, until his arrest in December 1986, none of his entourage knew about the nature of his work. He was considered a respectable businessman and an excellent family man. After his arrest, Kuklinski claimed that he killed about 200 people. The killer died in prison in 2006.

The role of Richard Kuklinski will be played by actor Michael Shannon.
