Warner Bros. planned to make the Joker Batman's ally
The story of the potential appearance of the Joker played by Heath Ledger in the sequel to The Dark Knight was continued. Moviehole decided to test these rumors with its sources at Warner Bros. and found out that, according to the original idea, the Joker was supposed to become Batman's ally in some way. According to the plot of the movie, the Joker, caught by Batman at the end of the movie, would be sent to a psychiatric clinic, but then the Dark Knight turned to him for help in catching an equally dangerous intruder. Thus, the relationship between the two opponents would have developed similar to that of Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs.
