Warner Bros. Film Company abandoned the idea of movieing the fifth episode of the famous police action movie Lethal Weapon. According to the resource Moviehole, the reason is not specified, but, most likely, lies in the unwillingness to participate in the project of the leading actor Mel Gibson. The closure of the project was confirmed by screenwriter Shane Black, who also intended to take the place of the director of the movie. Recall that the fourth part of the movie was released in 1998.
