Joe Pesci will play John Gotti's deputy
Joe Pesci, who has played many gangsters of all stripes in his lifetime, will continue his experiments in this field. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Pesci has joined the cast of the movie dedicated to John Gotti, the famous head of the New York mafia clan. Pesci got the role of Gotti's deputy Angelo Ruggeiro. The latter was suspected of numerous murders, including Gotti's neighbor John Favara, who was the accidental culprit in the death of Don's 12-year-old son. However, Ruggeiro's excessive talkativeness did a disservice to the Gambino clan. The Federal Bureau of Investigation recorded many of his negotiations, which later sent most of the bosses of the crime family, including Gotti himself, to jail.
