Paramount Pictures to Release Star Trek Stereo Game
Paramount Pictures is set to build on the success of its new Star Trek feature movie by introducing a video game based on it to fans. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, its distinctive feature will be stereoscopic gameplay. Fragments of the game, which the movie company creates in collaboration with Namco Bandai, were presented at an exhibition in Las Vegas. The stereo effect is realized using NVIDIA 3D Vision technology. The game will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms in the first quarter of 2013 before the premiere of the sequel to Star Trek. By According to Paramount VP Brian Miller, the movie company abandoned production of the game in 2009, as it chose to approach the process with more meticulousness. “The effect of the project was great and we realized it was an unusual Star Trek movie.
