Universal Film Company and director Brian Singer have chosen to write the full-length version of the popular science fiction series Battlestar Galactica.

According to the Deadline resource, he will be John Orloff, who worked on the movies Legends of the Nightguards, Her Heart, as well as the TV series Brothers in Arms.

Note that talks about transferring the events of the series to the big screen have been going on since 2009, but only now the project has moved off the ground.
