IMAX showed the redevelopment of the world's most famous cinema
IMAX has presented a video showing the process of renovation of the most famous cinema in the world - Grauman`s Chinese Theater, located in the heart of Hollywood. As a result of the reconstruction and restoration, the historic cinema will turn into the largest IMAX hall in the world , accommodating 932 spectators. It is second only to two other IMAX halls in North America in screen size. The renovated Grauman`s Chinese Theater will open on September 20, 2013. On this day, the premiere of the stereoscopic version of the famous movie The Wizard of Oz, which was first shown to the audience in this cinema, will take place. Recall that it was built in 1927 by the famous impresario Sid Grauman. It traditionally hosts the loudest premieres and various ceremonies.
