Metal band Anthrax to record song for Game of Thrones compilation
Musicians of the metal band "Anthrax", who are big fans of the TV series "Game of Thrones", posted on their official Facebook page photos from the studio with the hashtag #CatchTheThrone, which can only mean one thing - and ndash; they're preparing a song for the upcoming HBO season 5 music compilation. The first rumors of a compilation came in late December 2014, when Killswitch Engage announced on Instagram that they were recording a song for the project. Then the band's vocalist Jesse Leach accompanied the photo with the comment: "Today is a really cool day! I still can't believe that HBO took the song of the humble group, born in Massachus, for their show!". What concerns "Anthrax", then the band expressed their desire to record the song on drums in the famous throne room, which movieed many scenes for the series. Whether the idea of the musicians will come true is still unknown, however, executive producer D.B. Weiss is a big fan of Anthrax. In a recent media interview with the band, guitarist Scott Ian said, "I asked Dan Weiss, 'Listen, friend, can you record drums for the next album in the throne room? We'd set up a mobile studio, put drums, microphones all over the place, and record, "to which he replied," Oh God, that would be cool. We know guys who can arrange it. " Ian also noted that many Game of Thrones fans, like him, believe that the series was movieed in a metal style.
