Tom Hardy will play the head of the Yakuza
Tom Hardy will star in Japanese moviemaker Takashi Miike's English-language debut, The Stranger. This is reported by the Deadline edition. The project will be based on the idea of John Linson and tell the story of an American infantryman who ended up in Japan at the end of World War II and became one of the leaders of the Yakuza. It is expected that movieing will take place in Japan in early 2014. The movie will be produced by Joel Silver.
