Murder, She Wrote will not have a remake
NBC has changed its plans to relaunch Murder, She Wrote detective series. According to the publication Deadline, the television network will not engage in direct remake of the popular show, but, possibly, will shoot an alternative version using a new concept. Recall that the original series, which started on CBS in 1984, has 12 seasons and has a huge fanbase. The star of the series, Angela Lansbury, is a nominated and prestigious television award winner for her role as detective novel writer Jessica Fletcher. Screenwriter Alexandra Cunningham and producer David Gianollari were recruited to work on the remake. Octavia Spencer was approved for the lead role.
