Gerard Butler will play one of the main roles in the new version of the cult action movie Riding the Wave. According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations with the British actor have already entered the final stage. The remake will be based on a script by Kurt Wimmer. Director Erickson Kor, who worked as a cameraman on the set of Fast and Furious, plans to start work in the summer of 2014. The plot of the new version will be different from the original.
