Gerard Butler left Riding the Wave Remake (Topic)

Gerard Butler refused to participate in the remake of the cult movie Riding the Wave. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The reason for the actor's departure from the project is not specified, but most likely, this happened due to a conflict in the shooting schedules. Butler plans to have several large-budget movies at once.

Previously it was stated that only the plot of the new version would only in general resemble the original, and, in addition to surfing, the heroes will have to master several extreme sports in different parts of the world at once.

The second leading role is to be played by Luke Bracey, and Ray Winston will also star in the movie. Viewers are expected to see the remake in 2015.
