Ian McKellen to play retired Sherlock Holmes
Ian McKellen will star in the movie adaptation of Mitch Cullin's `` Mr. Holmes's Bees, '' which is about to be led by Bill Condon. This is reported by the Collider edition. The book is set in 1947. Long-retired Holmes lives in Sussex with his housewife and her son. But the peace of the provincial pension is being disrupted by an unsolved case from 50 years ago. All that the great detective remembers is a confrontation with an angry husband and a secret relationship with his beautiful but completely inadequate wife. Holmes's analytical skills are a thing of the past, as is Watson's loyal friend. But still he will have to reveal the mystery that tormented him. Filming will start in April 2014.
