Fantastic Four star to star in Childhood's End
Julian McMahon (Fantastic Four) has co-starred in the Syfy six-part miniseries Childhood's End, based on the novel of the same name by science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke. This is reported by the Variety edition. First published in 1953, the novel, consisting of three parts, tells the story of a peaceful alien invasion of Earth by the mystical "Overlords", whose indirect leadership provided the inhabitants of the planet with decades of peaceful life at the expense of human culture and identity. McMahon will play Rupert Boyes, an American businessman and entrepreneur.
