Wellington Airport decorated with Gandalf on the Great Eagle
Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, is actively preparing for the premiere of The Hobbit 2: The Desolation of Smaug. Expecting a significant increase in the number of tourists, the management of the capital's international airport decided to decorate the main terminal accordingly. Two Great Eagles, one of which sits on the back of Gandalf, will welcome passengers all the time the picture is in the box office. The eagles were assembled according to the drawings of the Weta Workshop. 1000 artificial feathers were required to create them, the longest of which reaches 2.5 meters.
