Lucasmovie will direct an animated prequel to Star Wars 7
Lucasfim, now owned by Walt Disney, has begun work on a new animated series that will serve as a prequel to the seventh full-length episode of Star Wars. This is reported by the resource Bleedingcool. At his disposal were several pages of the script of the project called "Star Wars: Reclamation" (Star Wars: Rebuilding). The action will take place 15 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and about 15 years before the events of the seventh episode. The task of the series includes both the development of the images of already known characters, like Leia Organa, and the introduction of new ones, who will become the main characters in the future. Terms of work have not yet been specified. It is claimed that preparations have been underway since January 2013. Naturally, there is no official confirmation of this information yet. As a reminder, in March, Lucasfim announced the termination of production of the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Its creator, Dave Filoni, promised fans a new, large-scale TV project.
