The new director of the Daredevil movie will be Joe Carnahan, who has such movies as Team A and Trump Aces. This is reported by the Variety edition.

It is noteworthy that information about Carnahan's appointment was spread during negotiations between 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Pictures about the future fate of the Fantastic Four. FOX intends to return the rights to the minor characters of the popular comic book series to Marvel, and in exchange asks for a reprieve for the movie adaptation of Daredevil.

According to the current agreement, FOX is obliged to begin movieing the latter no later than October 10, 2012. Otherwise, all rights to the character are returned to Marvel.

As a reminder, that previously the director of Daredevil David Slade was listed, but he dropped out of the project.

The last time the story of Daredevil was movieed in 2003. The main role was played by Ben Affleck. It is claimed that the new movie will have nothing to do with the previous movie adaptation.
