Oscar 2014 ceremony lost an interesting episode in which five-year-old Miles Scott, who had previously become the main character of a grandiose street performance in San Francisco as Batkid, was supposed to take part.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it was planned that Miles will appear on stage with the performer of the role of Spider-Man Andrew Garfield. Together they took part in the dress rehearsal for the ceremony on March 1, 2014. However, at the last moment, the producers of the show decided to abandon the scene. The reasons for the incident are unknown.

Recall that the action was organized by the Make a Wish charity foundation. Miles, undergoing cancer treatment, accompanied by the Dark Knight, raced through the streets of San Francisco in the Batmobile, accomplished several feats and eventually received the symbolic keys to the city at the mayor's office.

The street performance lasted more than four hours in total, more than 12 thousand volunteers took part in it.
