Lead actress found in Scream pilot (Topic)

The pilot of the MTV drama series, based on the movies of the Scream franchise, has a cast. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Willa Fitzgerald ("Dear Doctor") will play the female lead in the television adaptation of the popular horror franchise. Also starring in the pilot will be actors Amy Forsyth ("Reign"), John Karna ("Neighbors"), Carlson Young ("Pretty Little Liars") and Amadeus Serafini.

Jamie Travis (" Falsification "). The pilot was written by Jay Beatty and Dan Dworkin (Criminal Minds). Jill E. Blotvogel ("Eureka") will be the executive producer and showrunner of the project. The executive producers of the original franchise, Bob Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein will return to their duties. Wes Craven, who has directed all four movies in the franchise, does not take part in the television project.
