Josh Brolin to star in the Everest drama
Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Hawkes and Jason Clarke join Christian Bale in the drama Everest, which is about the dramatic ascent to the highest peak in the world. This is reported by the publication Deadline. In the spring of 1996, several commercial expeditions at once, which included both experienced conquerors of the eight-thousanders and ordinary tourists, went on a hike along the southern slope of the mountain. Due to poor preparation and deteriorating weather conditions, several participants in the ascent died. The tragedy was widely reported in the press and formed the basis of several documentaries and feature movies. The movie will be directed by Baltasar Cormacour.
