Rebecca Romijn to star in The Librarians
TNT has commissioned the production of the ten-part drama Librarians, based on the popular Librarian trilogy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rebecca Romijn (X-Men) will play the lead female role in the upcoming series. Creator of the original franchise, Dean Devlin, will act as executive producer, which he shares with John Rogers and Mark Roskin ... Trilogy star Noah Wyle will return to his role as librarian Flynn Carsen and will also executive produce the series. The drama, which TNT plans to launch in late 2014, focuses on a four-member group of ancient Librarians. who are designed to help Flynn keep the world from secrets, magical manifestations and artifacts, stored at the New York Public Library. Romijn will play the role of Eva Baird, a professional counterterrorism agent who is responsible for the group's security. John Larrockett ("The Court of the Night"), the picky Jenkins, an expert in ancient lore, will oversee a new team of librarians. Christian Kane ("Angel") will play Jake Stone, an Oklahoma laborer with an IQ of 190 and an encyclopedic knowledge of art history. Lindy Booth ("Dawn of the Dead") will appear as Cassanda, a woman with a special gift known as synesthesia. John Kim ("Neighbors on the Warpath") will portray Ezekiel Jones, the owner of new technologies and a fan of classic crimes, who loves to play like a mysterious type. Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin will return to their roles from the original trilogy. Matt Frewer (Skies Collapsed) will play a mysterious immortal who watches over an ancient cult known as the Brotherhood of the Serpent.
