Cable channel TNT has decided to close the adventure series "Librarians". Showrunner Dean Devlin is set to look for a new home for the show, based on the 2000s feature-length trilogy. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

"Just got an official call. TNT canceled the Librarians. I will immediately start the process of finding a new venue for the show. Fingers crossed!" - Devlin commented in particular.

Recall that the fantasy adventure drama was developed by John P. Rogers and was based on a script by David N. Titcher. The main role in the series starred Rebecca Romijn, and Noah Wyle, the leading actor from the feature-length trilogy, has occasionally appeared in his former role and took part in the work on the show as a producer. The decision to shut down The Librarians came almost immediately after it was revealed that Wyle had signed a contract with CBS to star in the upcoming drama "Red Line" by producers Greg Berlanti and Ava DuVernay.

In the drama series TNT is currently listed as Wolves, The Alienist, Good Behavior, as well as the upcoming series One Day She Darkens, Snowpiercer and Deadlier Than the Male. Veteran drama "The Last Ship" is expected to conclude after the new season shows.
