On July 9, 2013, the popular Soviet and USA actress Liya Akhedzhakova celebrates her 75th birthday. Liya Medzhidovna was born in Dnepropetrovsk into a theatrical family. She graduated from GITIS in 1962, but since 1961 she served in the Moscow Youth Theater. From 1977 to the present, her theater house is Sovremennik.
