George R. R. Martin revealed the true size of the dragons
George R.R. Martin has posted on his official website an excerpt from the upcoming book The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the World of Game of Thrones. The book is an encyclopedia describing the events and historical figures who participated in the formation of the Seven Kingdoms and beyond. From the excerpt, Daenerys Targaryen fans will learn how her ancestor Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros with the help of dragons. The story is accompanied by an illustration depicting Aegon the Conqueror riding his dragon Balerion the Black Death. Martin confirmed that the drawing accurately conveys his idea of what the size of an adult dragon is. The book will be published in October 2014.
