David Yates will continue the development of the Potterian
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on a fictional book studied at Hogwarts, will be directed by David Yates. This is reported by the Variety edition. Warner Bros. expects that if the first movie is successful, the project will be expanded to a full-fledged trilogy. Recall that earlier the post of director was offered to Alfonso Cuaron, but the latter refused the offer, citing a desire to take a break from the pictures saturated with special effects. The main character of the movie will be the author of the book, Newt Scamander, and the action will take place 70 years before events described in a popular series of works.
