Alfonso Cuaron abandoned Harry Potter spin-off (Topic)

Alfonso Cuaron turned down an offer to movie a spin-off of The Potterians, based on the fictional book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This is reported by the Global Post.

According to the director, despite all his love for `` this world '', he intends to take a break from projects rich in special effects, since the last five years have been devoted to just such a picture.

Recall that the main character of the movie will be Newt Scamander, whose book Harry Potter and his friends studied at Hogwarts. The first movie is expected to kick-start a series of projects that will not be directly related to Potter. The script will be prepared by J.K. Rowling.
