Cinema owners demanded to cut trailers
The American Association of Theater Owners (NATO) is pushing for new rules for promoting movies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of the top-priority changes should be to reduce the length of pre-show trailers to two minutes. Distributors believe that the clips provided by movie studios are too are long and often reveal content, which negatively affects the rental results. As a rule, in American cinemas, 7-8 trailers are shown before screenings.
