Christian Bale again found himself at the negotiating table with Sony Pictures about participating in the movie adaptation of the biography of Steve Jobs. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

This happened after Leonardo DiCaprio abandoned the role of Apple founder. It is noteworthy that Bale had already applied for this role earlier, when it was assumed that the director of the picture would be David Fincher. However, the latter could not agree on the amount of the fee with the studio management and refused to participate in the project in the spring of 2014. Christian Bale dropped out at the same time.

The plot of the movie will be based on a biography written by Walter Isaacson. Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple, will act as a consultant. British director Danny Boyle will take the post of director.

Note that this is not the first attempt to movie the biography of Steve Jobs. In 2013, the movie "Jobs: Empire of Seduction," starring Ashton Kutcher, was released. The picture was coolly received by both critics and viewers, earning only 35 million dollars at the worldwide box office.

As for Bale, his last movie work at the time of this writing was his role in the movie "Exodus: Kings and Gods", based on a popular biblical story.
