Christopher Nolan sues his agents

Christopher Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas Nolan, filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles Supreme Court against two agencies representing the creator of The Dark Knight II. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

CAA, with which Nolan broke his contract shortly before the release of the picture, and William Morris Endeavor (WME), which serves him now, are named as Defendants.

The lawsuit states that both firms are demanding a commission. CAA representatives are confident that they can qualify for part of the director's very substantial fee, since the contract to create The Dark Knight 2 Nolan signed while still a client of this company.

In turn, the agency WME claims that it represented the interests of Christopher Nolan during the crisis after the massacre in Aurora, and therefore also claims part of the moviemaker's earnings.

Nolan himself and his wife insist that both companies should resolve this dispute between themselves ... The court documents do not specify the exact amount, but, as a rule, agencies receive up to 10 percent of royalties, which means that these are really large amounts.
