China box office up 35 percent
In the first nine months of 2013, China's box office rose 35 percent from the same period a year earlier to reach $ 2.7 billion. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Of this amount, $ 1.5 billion was earned by movies made in China and only $ 1.1 billion by foreign movie projects. The box office of the latter decreased by 5.2 percent compared to 2012.
