An interesting study was conducted at the American Cornell University. According to the LA Times, it was found that while watching action movies, viewers eat more actively, and, therefore, gain excess weight faster.

The experiment involved about 100 university students, divided into groups, who were shown excerpts of various television programs .

A third of them watched the fantastic action movie Island, directed by Michael Bay. The same amount was offered an excerpt from the same movie, but without soundtrack. Those who remained followed the popular talk show.

All three groups were given unlimited access to a variety of snacks usually offered in theaters. The results were amazing. Those who watched the excerpt Islands " with sound, without noticing themselves, ate 98 percent more and got 65 percent more calories than those who watched the talk show.

In the case of the movie segment without sound, the subjects consumed 36 percent of the food more than talk show viewers.
