Mad Men renewed for a seventh season
AMC has announced that the drama series Mad Men Lionsgate will be renewed for a seventh, final season of 14 episodes. The first seven episodes (" The Beginning ") will see viewers in the spring of 2014, and the second (" The End of an Era ") – in spring 2015. The ComingSoon portal reports this. Commenting on the decision, AMC President Charlie Collier said that such a scheme has justified itself more than once. As an example, he cited the hit show Breaking Bad, whose final eight episodes drew twice as many viewers as the first half of the season. Series creator and executive producer Matthew Weiner added: “; We want to use this chance to create an even more thoughtful, complete story in two parts, which will remain in the memory of our viewers for a very long time.
